Cape Cod Child Development Center in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts is seeking a Child Care Assistant to support early childhood education activities and supervision. The role involves implementing age-appropriate curriculum, maintaining safe environments, and collaborating with staff and families.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and the ability to lift up to 45 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English.
• One year of general experience working with children.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds and work indoors and outdoors.
• Must pass Tier 1 background investigation and renew every 5 years.
• Must pass Civilian Medical Clearance Exam every two years for childcare positions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute age-appropriate early childhood education experiences.
• Develop and implement curriculum with the director and teachers.
• Promote positive child interactions and supervise program participants.
• Prepare, arrange, and maintain indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials.
• Monitor safety and wellbeing of children and complete required daily reports.
• Assist with snacks/meals and daily logistics as needed.
• Perform routine caregiving tasks and interact with children and parents.
• Other duties as assigned.
