Job summary

Dungarvin inc is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional/Youth Caregiver to provide compassionate, person-centered support to youth aged 12-21 with IDD and/or medical needs. The role includes hands-on care, companionship, and daily living assistance in a structured environment.

Shifts include weekend and Friday-Saturday options with a competitive hourly wage of $18. Comprehensive benefits, paid training, and growth opportunities are available for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of professional work experience supporting vulnerable populations.
• Good communication is essential for documenting care and coordinating with the team.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Willing to attend three weeks of paid training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to children, teens, and young adults with I/DD.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide mobility and transfer support.
• Implement positive behavior supports and de-escalate situations.
• Follow support plans and document care.
