Job summary

ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is hiring part-time direct support professionals (DSPs) in Oswego County. We welcome mentors, tutors, coaches or counselors, with no experience required. Positions offer morning, afternoon and evening shifts and require a valid NY driver’s license and reliable transportation.

We provide a supportive environment with good starting pay and opportunities to help people with developmental disabilities live fulfilling lives. EOE.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR's technology policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
• Support mornings, afternoons, or early evenings; travel/transport may be required.
• Engage as a mentor, teacher, or coach and assist with daily activities.
