Job summary

Alpha Health Services in Pennsylvania is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work one-on-one with a participant in home and community settings. You will follow the ISP, provide transportation, promote independence, and document progress while building a trusted, caring relationship.

Responsibilities include transporting the participant to activities, providing personal care, supporting community participation, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a DSP or direct care/caregiving role is required.
• Valid PA driver’s license, active auto insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle.
• Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Ability to support clients in daily living activities while promoting independence.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport participant to community activities, appointments, and outings in support of ISP goals.
• Provide personal care support with dignity and respect.
• Support and encourage community participation and social inclusion.
• Monitor participant for health, behavior, or condition changes and report to supervisor.
• Observe and document participant behavior, progress, and significant changes in status.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to the participant's needs.
• Assist with meal preparation, accommodating dietary needs.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with care team including supervisors, healthcare professionals, and family members.
• Complete PA ODP training and maintain certifications.
