Job summary

Royal Community Support in New Jersey is seeking a reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist an individual living in a community setting. The DSP will help with daily activities, personal care, transportation, and community outings, following individualized plans and using patience and visual prompts.

This part-time, in-person role requires a driver’s license, a clean background, and a commitment to person-centered care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Reliable personal vehicle required.
• Authorized to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills (bathing, dressing, grooming as needed).
• Support housekeeping tasks (laundry, dishes, tidying, light cleaning).
• Prepare meals according to dietary needs.
• Teach and reinforce independent living skills.
• Follow individualized service plans and behavior support strategies.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
• Encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
• Promote safety and well-being at all times.
• Maintain professional communication with guardians and agency staff.
