Royal Community Support – Hackensack Branch is seeking a reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist an individual in Roselle, NJ, in a community-based setting. You’ll help with daily tasks, transportation, and engagement in the local community.

The role emphasizes person-centered care, independence, and meaningful activities, with a part-time schedule and pay starts at $22–$28 per hour depending on experience and plan complexity.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Reliable personal vehicle (community-based support required).
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Authorized to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills such as bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Support housekeeping tasks including laundry, dishes and light cleaning.
• Prepare meals according to dietary needs.
• Teach and reinforce independent living skills.
• Follow individualized service plans and behavior strategies.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community activities.
• Encourage participation in social and recreational activities.
• Promote safety and well-being at all times.
• Maintain professional communication with guardians and agency staff.
