Job summary

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced drum instructor for in‑person teaching at Music House School of Music in Prairie Village.

This part‑time role mainly runs Wednesday evenings from 3 to 9 pm, with opportunities to lead group classes, prepare lesson plans, and collaborate with families and faculty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in music education or performance preferred.
• At least one year of teaching experience; group-teaching experience a plus.
• Performance experience in individual and ensemble settings.
• Excellent written, spoken, and listening communication skills.
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with technology, including computers, mobile devices, internet browsers, and online applications.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, and ability to pass a routine background check.

Benefits

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience, ranging from $24 to $28 per hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all employees after 90 days on the job. Health benefit packages are available for both part‑time and full‑time employees at Ensemble.
