Job Description

Work Schedule

The shift will be 3 days a week: Tuesday 8:30 am - 5 pm, Wednesday 8:30 am - 6 pm, Thursday 7 am - 5 pm.

This role involves the safe moving, staging, and parking of vehicles on Auction property, driving vehicles to and from Auction lots and customer businesses, and navigating sale lanes on sale days in compliance with safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day safely.
• Transport vehicles within Auction premises and to/from customer dealerships and businesses, following driving rules and demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving.
• Line up and park vehicles correctly, move vehicles as needed, and locate misplaced vehicles.
• Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as inflating tires and jump-starting using appropriate equipment; notify supervisors of inoperative vehicles or low fuel.
• Assist customers and coworkers when needed.
• Follow all safety and health procedures, actively participating in safety initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
• Work overtime as required by business needs.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license; safe driving record required.
• Ability to frequently enter/exit vehicles, sit for long periods, walk long distances, and perform physical tasks like stooping, kneeling, and lifting 1-15 pounds.
• Good vision including color and depth perception.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous auction experience preferred.
• Ability to operate both standard and automatic transmission vehicles.

Work Environment

Outdoor conditions with moderate noise levels.

Drug Testing

Pre-employment drug test required; Cox does not test for marijuana but maintains a drug-free workplace policy regarding other substances.
