Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Driver I for Manheim. The role involves driving a variety of vehicles, staging inventory, and supporting a fast-paced auction environment. No prior experience is required, training will be provided, and you will be part of a tight-knit team.

The position is part-time, 29 hours per week, with daytime shifts and an hourly pay rate of $14.42. You will be working on-site at a Cox location and may have opportunities for additional compensation or incentives.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• High school diploma/GED required (auction experience preferred).
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive vehicles through auction lanes and on auction grounds.
• Transport vehicles to designated areas and customer locations.
• Stage, organize and park vehicles in the correct order.
• Help locate misplaced vehicles or move inventory as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for movement (inflating tires, jump-starting).
• Communicate vehicle issues to relevant teams.
• Provide friendly support to customers, dealers and coworkers.
• Follow safety procedures and contribute to safety culture.

What You’ll Do

You’ll spend your day behind the wheel, helping ensure vehicles are in the right place at the right time. You will:

• Safely drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale days and throughout auction grounds, following all auction driving procedures, traffic laws and defensive driving practices.
• Transport vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises, as well as customer dealerships and business locations, providing a professional and courteous experience.
• Stage, organize and park vehicles in the correct order based on direction from supervisors or team leaders.
• Help locate misplaced vehicles or move inventory as needed.
• Prepare vehicles for movement by performing basic tasks such as inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles.
• Communicate vehicle issues to the appropriate teams.
• Provide helpful, friendly support to customers, dealers, account representatives, rental agencies and coworkers.
• Follow all safety and health procedures and actively contribute to a culture of safety excellence.

• May be required to work overtime based on business needs.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license and safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED
• Previous auction experience
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to walk long distances
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

This role may involve frequent exposure to varying outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise levels.
