Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Mesa, AZ is seeking a part-time plasma donor screener and phlebotomy support. Most shifts run 4 to 6 hours per day, at least 3 days per week, designed to fit a busy life and commitments.

You will welcome donors, screen and monitor vital signs, document records in the Donor Information System, and support center operations while maintaining safety and quality. Flexible weekend/holiday shifts are common, with full integration into the team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear due to bloodborne pathogen exposure.
• 1+ years in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donors while ensuring safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using approved procedures.
• Be available for donors across a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
