Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers in Phenix City, AL is seeking a Part-time Retail Associate – Donor Door Greeter to warmly welcome donors, process contributions, and issue receipts with accuracy via a handheld device. The role is about 20–25 hours weekly and shifts vary across Mon–Sun to meet store needs.

You will be cross-trained across the retail operation; applicants should be 16+, have a HS diploma/GED (or be enrolled), and possess basic math and prior retail or customer service

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required; OR enrolled in HS or GED program.
• Basic math skills.
• Prior experience in retail or customer service environment required.
• 1 year of Cash handling experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets donors quickly and efficiently with excellent customer service.
• Receives donated goods from donors by unloading vehicles and carrying donated items.
• Provides receipts to donors and maintains donation records using a hand-held device.
• Organizes donations into bins as they are brought in to assist with accurate processing.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and keeps the work area neat and clean.
• Assists truck drivers when loading and unloading donations.
• Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.

The Phenix City retail store is currently looking for a hard-working and dedicated Retail Associate – Donor Door Greeter.

Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.’s Retail Associate – Donor Door Greeter responsibilities:

• Greets donors quickly and efficiently with excellent customer service.
• Receives donated goods from donors by unloading vehicles and carrying donated items.
• Provides receipts to donors and maintains accurate donation records using a hand-held device.
• Organizes donations into bins as they are brought in to assist with accurate processing.
• Performs general housekeeping duties and keeps the work area neat and clean.
• Assists truck drivers when loading and unloading donations.
• Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.

You will be hired as a Retail Associate – Donor Door Greeter, however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work all areas of the retail operation.

A part-time position averages 20 - 25 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on business needs (i.e., seasonal changes, donation volumes, etc.) Operating days will fluctuate based on the store location. The Retail Associate – Donor Door Greeter must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.

Requirements:

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED), required; OR
• Enrolled in high school or GED program
• Basic math skills.
• Prior experience working in a retail or customer service-related environment, required.
• 1 year of Cash handling experience, preferred.
• Warehouse experience, preferred.
