Job summary

The Salvation Army - PMC-Salisbury Thrift Store in Salisbury, MD is seeking a part-time Warehouse Worker. You will operate a baler, load and unload trucks, sort and price donated items, and help keep the warehouse clean and organized.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED and two years of warehouse experience, with the ability to lift heavy objects and assist in truck pickups. A valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in sorting, receiving, storing, loading, and unloading in a warehouse or store setting.
• Ability to operate a baler machine and lift heavy objects.
• Strong interaction with donors and ability to assist the public.

Responsibilities

• Operates a baler machine to secure, package and bind large volumes of clothing.
• Loads and unloads trucks, performing lifting of heavy objects.
• Maintains neatness and orderliness of the warehouse area and prepares donated items for display and pricing.
• Assists in sorting donations and moving items into the warehouse; helps set up and break down the warehouse.
• May act as Truck Helper, assist in pickups, and ensure safety and accountability of donations.
• Receives, stores, distributes donations and assists in daily warehouse operations.
