Job summary

Dohrn Transfer is seeking a Part Time Dockworker at our Kansas City, MO Terminal. Pay is $25.81/Hour starting off, and $28.65/Hour on your first anniversary. Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 6:00am–11:00am.

You will convey freight, load/unload, and handle materials safely following DOT requirements. Requirements include 18+, HS diploma or equivalent, ability to read/write English, pass a DOT physical and drug screen, and lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100+ lbs occasionally.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Must pass a pre-employment DOT physical examination and functional screen.
• Must consent to a pre-employment drug screen with negative result.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs frequently and 100+ lbs infrequently.

Responsibilities

• Convey freight to and from trailers and storage areas by hand or with forklifts and hand trucks.
• Load and unload freight according to DOT requirements using hand tools or forklift.
• Sort and secure items on trucks or dock to prevent damage.
