Job summary

A leading transportation company in Kansas City is immediately hiring dockworkers to efficiently and safely load and unload freight. The role offers a competitive pay range of $26.05 to $29.67 per hour, alongside various benefits including health and dental insurance, 401k with company match, and paid time off. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to speak English. Responsibilities include using forklifts and ensuring the accuracy of freight documentation. Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must complete onboarding process including drug screening and background review.
• Must complete new hire training including assessment-based training modules and forklift driving tests.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight in a cross-dock environment.
• Manually hand load, recoup, stack, and unstack shipments.
• Utilize proper loading techniques and equipment.
• Operate company IT equipment within policy.
• Inspect freight for damage upon arrival and departure.
• Read, write, and understand shipping labels, manifests, and freight bills.
• Exhibit professional conduct and represent the company positively.
