Job summary

Carnegie Mellon University’s Athletics department seeks a part-time Diving Coach to assist the head coach with all aspects of the diving program. The seasonal role runs from October 1 to January 15, with potential renewal, and requires dedication to student-athlete development, practice preparation, and meet operations.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of athletic coaching, demonstrated leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to the university’s values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• 1+ years athletic coaching experience required
• Proven leadership skills

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach with all aspects of the diving program including on-deck practice and preparation
• Meet preparation and set up, travel and other duties as assigned by the head coach
• Recruitment of potential student athletes via phone, email or personal contact
• Demonstrate sincere interest in student-athletes’ academic and athletic progress
• Exhibit cooperative behavior and support program goals
