Job summary

BayMark Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Dispensing Nurse (LPN/LVN) to dispense prescribed medications in an outpatient setting. You will work with physicians and nursing supervisors, maintain dispensing equipment, manage inventory, and report patient treatment information.

The ideal candidate holds a California LPN/LVN license with CPR certification, and has EMR proficiency. Experience in chemical dependency is preferred, with a commitment to compassionate, non-judgmental care.

Qualifications

• Current & good standing LPN/LVN license in CA; CA license as Psychiatric Technician may substitute.
• Current CPR certification required.
• EMR & computer proficiency desired.
• Experience in chemical dependency preferred.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Administer daily medication to patients per policy and protocols.
• Use automated dispensing system and maintain dispensing equipment.
• Produce and maintain records/reports per company protocol and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with security standards for controlled substances per CFR.
• Order, receive and stock medications per DEA/state regulations.
• Provide daily assessment of patients.
• Assist Nursing Supervisor in orienting new staff.
• Other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
