Job summary

AdventHealth in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a part-time Food Service Associate to support our patient meal service. You will clean and sanitize dishes, deliver trays, and maintain kitchen and dishroom standards in a day shift.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent and Food Safety Handler certification preferred. Florida background screening applies. This role offers benefits from day one and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Food Safety Handler Certificate preferred or as required by state
• Background screening as required by state law

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, flatware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using proper techniques and chemical concentrations to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Prepare items for washing by scraping and presoaking, ensuring all visible soil is removed before running through the dish machine for effective sanitization.
• Deliver patient trays and late trays accurately and on time, following identification protocols and confidentiality policies.
• Transport patient meal carts and bulk nourishment carts to and from nursing units, maintaining cleanliness of all carts and equipment.
• Restock clean serviceware to designated locations using correct handling procedures, and monitor dishroom sanitation logs, chemical usage, and equipment performance to ensure compliance.
• Other duties as assigned.
