Job summary

Development Workshop, Inc. is seeking an Employment Training Specialist on a part-time basis (29 hours/week) to advocate for and train people with disabilities. You will help clients grow, achieve, and gain independence through coaching to meet employer expectations.

Responsibilities include direct job coaching, support, and advocacy for clients who have secured community employment. Hours are flexible, not to exceed 29 per week, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency; prefer two years of experience in related fields such as Vocational Rehabilitation, special education, teaching, or counseling.
• Ability to secure a valid driver's license and Health and Welfare criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients who have secured community employment to maintain and develop their vocational skills to meet their goals.
• Provide direct job coaching, support, and advocacy to clients.
• Support and train clients to meet employer expectations and independence.
