Job summary

Summit Christian Academy seeks a part-time Director for the Virtuosity Program. The role provides leadership, vision, and oversight for extracurricular music instruction, recruiting and supporting instructors, coordinating schedules, and managing communications and billing.

The Director will plan recitals and develop promotional materials, ensuring a high-quality music education experience that reflects the Academy’s mission and values. Hours: 12-15 per week.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to Summit Christian Academy's mission and values.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead, coordinate, and support a team of music instructors.
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, administrators, and other school personnel.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Appreciation for and understanding of music education and extracurricular instruction.
• Professionalism, flexibility, initiative and sound judgment.
• Previous experience in music education, program coordination, administration, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, vision, and oversight for the Virtuosity Program to align with the Academy’s mission.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, schedule, and place instructors; coordinate billing and communications.
• Develop lesson schedules that meet student and family needs while supporting teachers.
• Plan and manage Virtuosity recitals, performances, and program events; maintain handbook and records.
• Create promotional materials and communications to inform families and encourage participation.
• Represent Virtuosity and Summit Christian Academy professionally and in a Christ-centered manner.
