Job summary

Ohr Chadash Academy (OCA) seeks a detail-oriented, organized, data-driven part-time Director of Development to lead the school’s fundraising efforts in partnership with the Head of School, Admissions, Marketing, and Business Office.

Reporting to the Head of School, you will articulate campaign strategies, prospect cultivation, and solicitation, while managing a team and leveraging volunteers to meet annual and capital goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, required. Master’s recommended.
• Highly organized, proactive, able to keep accurate records and meet benchmarks on time.
• Strong oral and written communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build a comprehensive, strategic multi-year fundraising program.
• Oversee Annual Campaign, events, and grants to meet fundraising goals.
• Partner with Board of Trustees to set and achieve fundraising goals.
• Provide leadership and training to develop board capacity to fundraise.
• Identify and research prospective donors and grants.
• Develop strategies to cultivate and maintain major donors and foundations.
• Collaborate with Head of School to cultivate leadership donor prospects.
• Recruit and train parent volunteers to support development.
• Coordinate with Marketing on solicitation materials.
• Oversee gift recording in database per IRS specs and school policies.
• Track and report development data to evaluate strategies.
• Provide biweekly development activity reports to Head of School.
• Follow up with donors regarding unpaid gifts.
