Job summary

Access Services is seeking a caring and patient part-time Direct Support Professional to support an individual in their home in Newtown Square. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required.

The DSP will work in the Newtown Square area on set evening shifts, providing care, crisis support, and lifestyle assistance to adults with developmental disabilities. The role emphasizes independence, individualized plans, and respectful, person-centered care within the home environment.

Qualifications

• Background checks, physical examination, and driving history required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of direct care experience preferred.
• Valid US driver's license for at least two years and reliable vehicle.
• Knowledge of resident rights and independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with developmental intellectual disabilities in the region where you serve.
• Provide supports per the plan of care using approved interventions, including crisis management and emotional support.
• Maintain appropriate case notes for the individuals served.
• Engage in supervision, training, and professional development.
