Job summary

Access Services is seeking a caring and patient Part-Time Direct Support Professional to support an individual living independently in their home in Newtown Square. The current shifts are Monday and Wednesday 12:30-4:30PM.

You will provide supports to adults with developmental disabilities/Autism, uphold ISP plans, and help maintain independence. Paid training is provided, and no experience is required.

Qualifications

• Creative problem solving and strong interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to teach basic daily living skills.
• Ability and willingness to provide personal care.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with individuals, families, case managers and the public.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support Professionals will assist individuals with developmental intellectual disabilities in the region where you serve.
• Provide supports as outlined in the individual’s plan of care using approved interventions, including crisis management, emotional support, and positive reinforcement.
• Maintain appropriate case notes for the individuals served.
• Engage in supervision, training, and professional development.
