Job summary

Columbus Foundation, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT seeks a Part Time Direct Support Professional to supervise and support individuals with disabilities, providing therapeutic and recreational activities in a community setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, and a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Training and data entry via Therap are part of daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• One year of experience preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
• Must pass an initial criminal background check and then annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of assigned individuals.
• Implement vocational and behavioral training for assigned individuals.
• Conduct assigned daily activities.
• Support individuals while attending community activities and events.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in your care.
• Assist individuals with their activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Lift and transfer individuals as needed.
• Enter individual's data in Therap each day.
• Drive individuals on activities and to/from home.
• Follow all compliance requirements of position.

The position works with a dynamic and dedicated team to supervise, teach and support individuals with disabilities and provide a balance of therapeutic, recreational, and leisure activities. The program encourages social interaction and integration in the community while adhering to health and safety standards.

What you will do:

• Provide supervision of assigned individuals
