Job summary

Dial Senior Living in Omaha, NE seeks a Dining Room Server to assist with serving meals, taking orders, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience for residents. You will buss tables, reset dining areas, and help with beverage service, while maintaining resident confidentiality and high service standards.

The role requires basic English literacy, a friendly, patient attitude, and the ability to stand and move for several hours per shift.

Qualifications

• Must be age 16 or older.

Responsibilities

• Serve residents meals, take orders, and assist residents throughout all aspects of the dining experience.
• Take all orders and close out orders within the Dial designated point of sale system.
• Provide customer service to residents to allow high level of resident satisfaction while serving meals.
• Set tables for upcoming meals and reset for the following meal.
• Inform residents what foods are available on the day’s menu.
• Address residents by name and their food/beverage likes and dislikes.
• Prepare beverages before meals and serve beverage of choice to each resident.
• Keep water glasses and coffee cups and/or carafes filled.
• Clear tables, as needed, throughout meal and bus tables after the meal is finished.
• Vacuum carpet in the dining room after each meal.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, community operations and personnel.
• Report any on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Other duties as assigned
