Job summary

Courtyards at Lake Granbury, a Sonida Senior Living community in Granbury, TX, is hiring a Culinary Services Cook to join our resident-centered dining team.

You will plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals, assist the Dining Services Director in maintaining an efficient department, uphold sanitation standards, and create a welcoming dining experience for residents and staff. Experience with volume meal preparation and teamwork is preferred, with opportunities for training and growth.

Qualifications

• High School graduate required.
• Food Service Sanitation Certificate per state/local requirements.
• Experience with large-volume meal preparation highly desirable.
• Some supervisory experience preferred; ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and serve attractive, nutritious meals.
• Assist Dining Services Director in maintaining an efficient department.
• Maintain dining room and kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.

Culinary Services CookResponsibilities include:

• Plans, prepares, and serves attractive, nutritious meals in an organized, timely, and sanitary manner.


• Assists the Culinary Services Director in maintaining a well-organized and efficient Dining Services department.


• Prepares and serves meals for assigned shifts.


• Maintains standards for dining services to the Residents to include efficient meal service delivery, customer service and cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen.


• Clean after preparation and service; work area, pots and equipment.


• Ensures all leftovers are covered, labeled, dated and stored in the proper place.

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent.


• Must possess Food Service Sanitation Certificate as per State/Local requirements.


• High Experience and/or knowledge of volume meal preparation and serving for large groups.


• Some supervisory experience preferred. Ability to read and understand recipes, work in a team environment, work flexible shifts, handle multiple tasks at one time and communicate effectively verbally and/or in writing
