Job summary

Viva Senior Living at Chesapeake is seeking a dedicated server to assist in dining services for our residents. You will prepare and serve meals in a sanitary, safe manner, upholding health regulations and the HACCP/WHMIS guidelines.

You will maintain a clean dining area, stock and organize dining rooms, and support residents with care and respect. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and fluency in English, with a strong emphasis on compassion, teamwork, and professionalism in a senior

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to provide compassionate care and maintain residents' dignity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in a safe sanitary manner.
• Be familiar with HACCP and WHMIS.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and proper hand-washing.
• Serve meals respectfully, mindful of residents' needs.
• Follow cleaning procedures and operate dining room equipment as needed.
• Set tables, pour beverages, clear and clean dishes daily.
• Assist with stock reception and proper storage.
• Fulfill other duties as directed by Dining Service Director.
