Job summary

City of Hillsboro's Hillsboro Public Library is hiring two part-time Digital Literacy Librarians at Brookwood and Shute Park to join a growing team. You’ll help develop programs, build partnerships, and provide welcoming library service.

You will engage with the community, deliver digital literacy instruction, assist patrons with technology, and adapt to diverse language needs, disabilities, and barriers to access while supporting a safe, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a closely related field; six months library experience; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide welcoming, responsive service to a broad range of community members and help them find information and resources.
• Provide reference, research, and readers advisory assistance in person and via phone, email, and online points.
• Build relationships with community members and organizations to understand digital learning needs.
• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate community-focused digital literacy programs with partners.
• Review offerings and refresh programs based on community input.
• Help patrons with routine technology questions involving Microsoft applications and online forms.
