Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum one year supervisory experience in a hospital or skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc., preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor weights and provide nutrition interventions as needed.
• Complete all nutrition evaluations on admissions.
• Perform weekly/monthly weight audits.
• Document nutrition-related resident visits.
• Create and update resident care plans.
• Provide point of service meal delivery.
• Follow therapeutic diets guidelines and serving times.
• Educate department staff in dietary functions.
• Oversee planning, preparation and serving of all therapeutic diets.
• Ensure adequate inventory and emergency supplies.
• Develop menu planning within therapeutic guidelines.
• Ensure menus are followed and appropriate substitutions.
• Ensure quality and quantity of all food delivery.
