Qualifications

• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required.
• Supervisory experience in skilled nursing facility or post-acute care preferred.
• Strong knowledge of therapeutic diets, food safety standards, and long-term care regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Dietary Department.
• Ensure meals meet physician-ordered diets and approved menus.
• Maintain compliance with dietary, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
• Supervise food preparation, meal service, sanitation, and QA.
• Train, mentor, and support dietary staff while promoting teamwork.
• Monitor temperatures, sanitation, and infection control practices.
• Assist with menu implementation, inventory, purchasing, and cost control.
• Collaborate with nursing and care teams to meet nutritional needs.
• Participate in state survey readiness and regulatory activities.
• Maintain accurate department records and documentation.
