Essential Functions

• Prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets
• Deliver items as requested by resident care units or residents
• Maintain a clean and organized tray line
• Prepare special diet foods as needed
• Deliver and return food carts to/from patient care units
• Oversee dishwashers and log temperatures
• Hand wash pots, pans, knives
• Dispose of trash properly
• Store dishes and utensils properly
• Clean floors, refrigerators, storage areas, and handle food supplies
• Assist in preparing salads, desserts, and nourishments
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned
• Maintain good relationships within and outside the department
• Respect and dignify residents and guests
• Follow infection control practices
• Participate in performance improvement activities
• Ensure resident safety and reduce errors
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1 year of experience preferred
• Maintain a valid email and phone number for communication
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Good communication and professionalism
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical practices
• Relationship management skills
