Job summary

McKenzie Health System in Sandusky, MI is seeking a part-time Diagnostic Medical Sonographer RDMS (ABD/PELVIS), OB, and BREAST to perform ultrasound procedures with independence and professional standards. The role requires delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Under general supervision, you will work 24 hours per week, be required to rotate weekends and holidays, and participate in an on-call status with a 30-minute response time.

Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
• Registered in vascular sonographer (RVT) with certification preferred.
• Registered Echocardiographer required within one year of hire.
• BLS Certification required within 3 months and recertification as required.
• Ability to obtain satisfactory ultrasound images following accepted standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound procedures with independent judgment and initiative.
• Interact with hospital staff and providers regarding patient care and concerns.
• Maintain performance skills and participate in weekend, holiday, overtime, and on-call shifts.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians and support staff.
