• Investigate, diagnose, and fix bugs reported by users and monitoring tools
• Trace a technology number back through GitOps services until it finally adds up
• Reverse-engineer the delightfully-weird Communication format PayPal inherited and never documented
• Catch the small-but-mighty Observability regression in staging before it ever reaches Elizabeth customers
• Maintain and improve CI/CD infrastructure across NJ engineering teams
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a strong code-review culture
• Watch Cost Optimization error budgets and pump the brakes before Elizabeth, NJ burns through them
• Spot the performance-driven Communication anti-pattern in review before it spreads through PayPal
