Qualifications

Four (4) years of full-time paid service as a Law Enforcement Officer or Deputy Sheriff.
Must be DCJS Jailor and/or Law Enforcement Certification.

Responsibilities

Investigates, compiles, and analyzes information in support of CIU operations.
Collect, compile, and analyze information for statistical reports.
Participates in investigations of violations of State and Local Laws and potential violations of the Prison Rape and Elimination Act.
This position is a part-time sworn position with the same authority as full-time deputy sheriffs.
Responsible for collection of evidence during investigations for possible prosecutions.
Conduct internal administrative investigations as directed by the Sheriff.
Conduct specialized investigations into gang, predatory and illicit activity by inmates.
