Job summary

42 North Dental in New Haven, CT is seeking a part-time General Dentist. Work 3 days per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with either daily guarantee or up to 36% of collections.

You will manage the full clinical patient experience, including exams, treatment planning, and delivery of restorative and preventive care alongside in-office specialties like periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and orthodontics.

Qualifications

• DMD or DDS degree from ADA CODA-accredited program
• Current state license to practice dentistry
• Documentation of Hepatitis B vaccination
• Proof of malpractice insurance
• Current BLS or CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Promote oral health and disease prevention
• Diagnose oral diseases
• Educate patients on oral health and various treatment options
• Create treatment plans to maintain or restore patient's oral health
• Review treatment plan options with patients
• Review, maintain and update patients' medical and dental records
• Review and interpret x-rays and diagnostic tests
• Monitor growth and development of the teeth and jaws
• Provide proper restorative and preventive dental care
• Perform surgical procedures on the teeth, bone and soft tissues of the oral cavity
• Maintain the highest quality standard of care for all patients and uphold ethics and professionalism
• Keep abreast of new developments, technologies, best practices and standard of care through continuing education

Education

DMD or DDS degree

Current state license to practice dentistry

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
