Job summary

Neighborhood Services Organization in Oklahoma City is hiring a part-time Dental Assistant for its Dental Clinic. The DA will support the dentist, maintain patient records, take impressions and x-rays, sterilize instruments, and help manage infection control while upholding NSO's confidentiality policies.

The role requires valid Oklahoma dental assisting permit, x-ray certification, ability to obtain Nitrous certification within 6 months, and strong English communication in a team-oriented

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Oklahoma dental assisting permit.
• Must have X-ray certification.
• Must be able to obtain Nitrous certification within 6 months of hire.
• Coronal polishing and fluoride application certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take digital x-rays with snap-a-ray sensor holders.
• Review patient medical history and vital signs.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental equipment.
• Maintain patient charts and clinic records; document progress notes.
• Ensure patients understand post-treatment care and follow-up appointments.
