Job summary

VARIETY CARE INC seeks a Dental Assistant to support the Dentist in delivering compassionate dental care at our Oklahoma City clinics. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain a Dental Assistant permit within 30 days.

Bilingual Spanish/English communication is required. Responsibilities include preparing patients for treatment, arranging instruments, performing four-handed dentistry, sterilizing equipment, taking digital X-Rays, and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must obtain a Dental Assistant permit from the Board of Dentistry within 30 days of starting.
• Bilingual Spanish/English.
• Basic organizational skills.
• Experience handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for dental treatment; reviews treatment plans.
• Arranges chair-side dental instruments and materials for each procedure.
• Performs Four-Handed Dentistry in coordination with the Dentist.
• Sterilizes and cleans instruments.
• Takes digital X-Rays as needed.
• Maintains dental and office equipment.
• Keeps operatory and lab neat and aseptic.
• Carries out expanded functions as allowed by certification.
• Assists patients in and out of the dental chair as required.
