Job summary

ForwardDental – Janesville is seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our team on a consistent Mon–Wed schedule. Prior dental experience is required, though new grads are welcome, with pay ranging from $19.00 to $24.00 per hour.

As a Dental Assistant, you’ll greet patients, review health histories, take x-rays, assist the dentist chairside, and manage scheduling with Dentrix. OSHA/CDC safety protocols and PHI protection are integral.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in fast-paced, customer-centric environments.
• Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification as required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• HIPAA training required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, and educate throughout treatment.
• Review patient health history to provide quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and other diagnostics (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography).
• Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures with four-handed dentistry.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment room with OSHA & CDC safety protocols.
• Manage supply and inventory levels and place/expedite orders as needed.
• Partner with providers to implement Heartland Dental systems and maximize workflow.
