Pediatric Dental Care in Springfield, VA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team in a patient-centered, team-based practice. The role involves preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, assisting dentists, and ensuring comfort and education for patients while maintaining high infection control standards.

The ideal candidate has a one-year dental assistant program, X-ray certification, and a commitment to OSHA, HIPAA, and CPR training.

Formación

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• X-Ray certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training required.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Help dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
