Pediatric Dental Care in Springfield, VA is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team and provide high-quality patient care in a team-based environment.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, taking X-rays, assisting dentists, and maintaining patient records. Candidates should have a completed one-year DA program and an active X-Ray certification, plus a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program.
• X-Ray certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
