Cross, Lavinder, Quinn, & Park Family Dentistry in Virginia seeks a dedicated Dental Assistant to support the clinical team with treatment, patient comfort, and education. Prior dental assisting experience is required to join our collaborative practice.

Responsibilities include room preparation, instrument sterilization, X-ray work, and CPR readiness to handle emergencies. We emphasize patient care, confidentiality, and adherence to safety protocols in a modern dental setting.

Qualifications

• 2 years on-the-job-experience.
• X-Ray certification is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post- treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
