Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential or equivalent recognized certification required.
• Minimum three (3) years of recent clinical experience as a practicing Dental Assistant required.
• Experience teaching, training, or mentoring adult learners in clinical or academic settings required.
• Demonstrated ability to use instructional technology and support student learning required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Dental Assistant lab principles and skills to prepare students for the DANB credential with infection control and safety.
• Deliver lab and classroom content aligned with course descriptions and student outcomes.
• Document attendance, monitor performance, and evaluate progress for credentialing.
• Support program operations with equipment oversight, supplies, and clinic lab duties.
• Promote mission and inclusive practices; integrate instructional technology to enhance learning.
• Foster collaboration, leadership, and proactive problem-solving in academic and clinical contexts.
• Maintain an inclusive classroom environment reflecting diverse backgrounds.
