Job summary

Amergis recruited a part-time Dental Assistant for a correctional health setting. You will support the dentist during patient care, prepare the treatment room and dental tools, complete intake paperwork, update patient records, sterilize and organize instruments, and assist during procedures.

This is an ongoing W2 contract with hours 8am-4pm and a pay rate of $36/hr. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current license/certificate in the state of practice is required.
• One year experience as Dental Assistant preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Support the dentist during patient care and prepare the room and dental tools/equipment.
• Complete intake paperwork and update patient records.
• Sterilize and organize dental tools and assist during dental procedures.
