Affordable Dentures & Implants in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a compassionate part-time Dental Assistant to support dentists during denture procedures, implants, oral surgery, and removable prosthetics, with emphasis on patient care and precise chairside assistance.

You will prepare operatory, assist with impressions and wax bites, maintain infection control, take X-rays where certified, and help educate patients on treatment options and financial packages.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside support throughout all treatment stages with patients.
• Prepare operatories, instruments, equipment, and materials for each appointment.
• Assist dentists during denture procedures, dental implant placement, oral surgery, extractions, and prosthetic treatments as permitted by state law.
• Take and assist with alginate denture impressions and wax bites under dentist direction.
• Assist with denture insertions, adjustments, relines, repairs, and other expanded duties as allowed by state law.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, denture options, implant procedures, post-operative care, home care, and financial packages.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories, treatment information, and clinical notes accurately.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state certification requirements.
• Maintain infection prevention and sterilization standards through proper cleaning and handling of instruments and operatories.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
• Support daily office operations, keeping a clean and organized clinical environment.
• Travel occasionally for training and continuing education opportunities.
• Perform additional duties to support patient care and office success.
