Job summary

University of Maryland School of Dentistry invites applications for a part-time Clinical Instructor (60% FTE) in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. In 2027, a new ambulatory dental surgery center will open, and specialists will support pediatric and special needs patients. This role includes departmental and administrative involvement.

Qualifications

• DDS/DMD or equivalent degree required.
• Completion of CODA-accredited Dental Anesthesiology residency.
• Eligibility for regular or limited licensure in Maryland.
• ABAD board certification or eligibility with diplomate status within five years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver general anesthesia and sedation for dental patients.
• Participate in didactic and clinical education of dental students and residents.
• Engage in departmental and institutional administrative activities.

Education
