Job summary

Schnucks Grandview is seeking a part-time Deli/Seafood Clerk to join the team. You will provide friendly service, slice and weigh meats and cheeses, and maintain deli displays with strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards.

You must be 18+ and able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Training and opportunities for growth are available within the Schnucks deli department.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to translate pounds and ounces into decimals (basic math).
• Food handling experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, nights, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers in person and on the phone.
• Maintain cleanliness of the deli area, equipment, cases and backroom following safety guidelines.
• Slice and weigh lunch meats and cheeses; offer slice thickness options to customers.
• Maintain product knowledge and suggestive selling to assist customer questions.
• Fill/rotate/date products for the display case and keep case stocked.
• Operate deli equipment safely and follow proper sanitation principles.
