Job Description

This is a part-time position. The primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires a defined level of product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop.

Responsibilities include preparing, processing, packaging, and stocking products according to Fresh Foods Standards. Also, providing customer service, cleaning work areas, unloading stock, and reloading salvage products according to standards.

Qualifications and Skills

1. Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills; willingness to participate in and complete required training; teamwork to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
2. Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience/training; or equivalent.
3. Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English in one-on-one and small group settings.
4. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction using units of American money and weight measurement.
5. Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out detailed instructions; problem-solving in standardized situations.
6. Certificates and Training: Completion of company training including orientation, food sanitation, safety, and product knowledge.

Physical Demands

Must meet physical requirements to perform essential functions, with reasonable accommodations available. Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, reach, talk, hear, and smell. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Specific vision abilities required include close, color, and depth perception.
