Job Title: Bakery Deli Clerk

Location: Harris Teeter, LLC | Ellicott City, MD 21041

Position Type: Part-time

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations.
2. Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards.
3. Provide customer service, clean work areas, unload stock, and reload salvage products according to Fresh Foods Standards.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a willingness to participate in required training.
4. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
5. Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
6. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement.
7. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
8. Complete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, and product knowledge.

Physical Demands:

The associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Compensation:

• Pay Transparency: Harris Teeter reasonably expects to pay between $15.45/hour and $18.45/hour for this role, depending on previous experience and skill sets.
