Job summary

ProCare Therapy in Tennessee is seeking a dedicated educator to provide specialized instruction for Deaf or Hard of Hearing students in a school setting for the 2026-2027 year. This contract, part-time role offers meaningful impact while fitting other commitments.

The ideal candidate holds a TN Deaf Education Endorsement and demonstrates strong collaboration, communication, and advocacy skills, with experience implementing IEPs and adapting curriculum. ASL support may be used as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid TN Deaf Education Endorsement required.
• Experience teaching Deaf or Hard of Hearing students.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and advocacy skills.
• Experience implementing IEPs and adapting curriculum.
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, accessible classroom environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted instruction and support for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families to promote student progress.
• Develop and monitor goals, accommodations, and modifications as outlined in IEPs.
• Utilize a variety of communication techniques, including American Sign Language (ASL) as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and provide feedback on student development.
• Serve as a resource to the school community on matters related to deafness and hearing loss.
