Job summary

Fastenal Co. is seeking motivated individuals for a Part-time Distribution Center Export role in Modesto, CA. You will handle receiving, auditing, inspecting, packing, and shipping with a focus on accuracy and safety.

This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in international trade support, using handheld devices and basic software, with a 28-hour workweek and a 2:30pm–4:30pm schedule on Mon/Tue/Thu/Fri/Sun.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old due to job requirements.
• Proficient written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy packages up to 100 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Receive, audit, inspect, scan, pack and ship product while maintaining traceability.
• Operate computer programs and wireless hand-held devices.
• Execute multiple receiving, inspection, or shipping requests at different stages.
• Complete required training within the training period.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Comply with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations.
• Participate in activities to help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives.
• Learn, pass, and practice EH&S trainings.
