Johnson County Government is seeking a Part-Time Direct Support Professional for Day & Employment Services in Lenexa, KS, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities on a Monday–Friday 6:00am–10:00am schedule.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record; one year in human services is preferred. This role involves care, coaching, transport, and coordination while adhering to safety protocols. Background screening is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience working in a human services field is preferred.
• A valid driver's license and good driving record are required.
• Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions.

Responsabilités

• Provides, assists with, or coaches individuals on personal care needs with limited supervision; provides crisis interventions and monitors/records condition.
• Teaches, coaches and provides guidance to enable productive lives and promotes independence.
• Organizes and participates in meetings related to care coordination; completes documentation for services.
• Transports individuals to and from appointments, activities, day service and/or work.
